The CoverStar®Cool CS550 is a disposable protective coverall built for tasks that call for particle and splash protection while keeping physical strain in check. Its front panel in classic nonwoven laminate paired with a breathable SMMS back panel makes it the choice for anyone spending a full shift in a coverall who still needs to stay cool.
The front uses PP nonwoven fabric with a microporous film laminate to deliver the barrier performance, while the multi-layer SMMS material on the back lets air and moisture escape. In practice that means noticeably less heat build-up without giving up protective performance. The three-piece hood with elastic, plus elasticated cuffs, ankles and waist along with thumb loops, keep the suit in place even during active work. The two-way zip with double storm flap opens and closes easily while staying reliably sealed, and the antistatic treatment helps reduce static build-up on the material during use.
Tested to EN 14325, the suit is classified under PSA Category III as Type 5 and Type 6. That means protection against solid airborne particles (Type 5) and against limited liquid spray or splashes (Type 6) – exactly the range covering dust, aerosols or occasional liquid contact, though not sustained chemical exposure.
This makes the CS550 well suited to painting, cleaning and remediation work, industrial settings, jobs involving fibres and dust, and any task where lightweight but dependable full-body protection needs to be worn for extended periods. Supplied as bulk goods from 50 pieces upward, it is geared toward the regular needs of commercial buyers.
