The CoverBase® SMS-1 is a disposable coverall built for work where clothing comes into contact with particles or fine dust and needs to be changed on a regular basis. Its three-piece hood with elastic gives a close fit around the head and face, while additional elastic at the wrists, ankles and waist keeps the suit close to the body during movement so nothing snags or rides up.
The fabric is a multi-layer SMS nonwoven made from polypropylene. Combining several nonwoven layers makes the material more tear-resistant and denser than a single layer of fleece, while keeping the suit light and comfortable to wear. The two-way zip with its covering flap makes the coverall easy to put on and take off and stops particles getting in at the closure.
The suit is tested to EN 14325, the standard for protective clothing against chemicals, and classified as PPE Category III, Type 5 and Type 6. Type 5 covers protection against airborne solid particles, while Type 6 covers protection against light liquid splashes. That makes it suitable for dusty working environments as well as jobs where occasional splash contact is possible, such as industrial work, trades and cleaning or remediation tasks. Sold in packs of 50, it is built for the regular, ongoing needs of commercial buyers.
