The Melvin quilted softshell jacket is built for anyone working outdoors in wind, cold and wet conditions who also needs to stay visible. Thanks to its removable quilted inner lining, it works as a lightweight softshell on milder days or as a warm winter jacket when temperatures drop, giving you two jackets in one.
The outer shell is a 3-layer laminate made from 100% polyester that is windproof and waterproof while still letting moisture escape, so it doesn't feel stuffy during physical work. A water column of 5,000 mm keeps out sustained rain, and breathability of 1,000 g/m²/24h helps move sweat away from the body. The fabric is also highly abrasion-resistant, which pays off on construction sites or wherever the jacket sees regular contact with tools and vehicles. Inside, a soft fleece lining adds comfort, while the removable quilted inner layer provides extra warmth, and the knitted cuffs seal out cold air at the wrists. The sturdy YKK zip with storm flap, adjustable hem and the adjustable, removable hood let you fine-tune the fit to the weather and the job at hand.
Certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 3, the jacket meets the highest visibility class for hi-vis workwear, meaning maximum conspicuity in daylight and in headlight beams thanks to the heat-sealed reflective strips across the front, back, shoulders and sleeves. Because these strips are bonded rather than sewn on, there are no extra seams to weaken the fabric. Certification to EN ISO 13688 confirms it meets the general requirements for protective clothing.
With two zipped hip pockets, a chest pocket and an inner pocket in the lining, the jacket offers plenty of room for tools and personal items. It suits road construction, civil engineering, logistics and any outdoor job where changeable weather and visibility both matter. The removable lining also makes it easier to apply company logos.
