The Esche softshell forestry jacket is built for anyone working outdoors in demanding weather, from forestry and landscaping to general outdoor site work. Its bold red, yellow and black colour design improves visibility, while the cut with pre-shaped sleeves and an extended back panel is designed to give freedom of movement during physical work.
The outer material is a 3-layer laminate with a high polyester content and a touch of elastane, giving the jacket both structural stability and flexibility in the areas that need it most. Reinforcements made from CORDURA® add extra resistance to abrasion and friction at high-wear points, useful when handling tools or moving through dense brush. Elastic, breathable panels at the sides and sleeves move with the body and let moisture escape without letting wind or rain in, while the Oxford-fabric hem and sleeve cuffs add further durability at contact points.
With a water column rating of 8,000 mm, the jacket copes well with sustained rain, and a breathability rating of 3,000 g/m²/24 h helps carry body moisture away during exertion instead of letting it build up inside. Practical features such as the concealed front zip with a hook-and-loop storm flap, adjustable sleeve cuffs with an integrated wind guard, and a chin guard keep the jacket comfortable in rough conditions. Two hook-and-loop chest pockets, two zipped side pockets and several inner pockets provide plenty of room for tools, a phone or paperwork, while reflective inserts improve visibility in low light.
