The Volker hi-vis pilot jacket is a versatile 4-in-1 garment designed for anyone who needs to stay visible and protected from the weather on construction sites, road works or in logistics. Thanks to the detachable collar and sleeves plus the removable fleece lining, it converts between a vest, a lightweight jacket and a warmly lined winter jacket, adapting easily to different seasons and working conditions. The hood built into the collar provides extra protection in wet weather without the need to carry a separate item.
The outer fabric is 100% polyester in Oxford quality with a PU coating, making it hard-wearing and resistant to wind and moisture. Welded rather than stitched seams keep water from getting in at the seams, so the jacket stays reliably watertight even in prolonged rain. With a water column of 2,000 mm and breathability of 2,000 g/m²/24h, it stays comfortable to wear despite being fully waterproof, as perspiration is carried away from the body. The adjustable cuffs with hook-and-loop fastening and knitted inner cuffs, along with the knitted hem, ensure a snug fit and keep out draughts.
The jacket meets EN ISO 20471 class 3, the highest visibility class for protective workwear, making the wearer clearly recognisable in daylight and headlight beams; the separately wearable vest achieves class 2. Reflective strips on the shoulders further boost visibility. EN 343 class 4/1/X confirms protection against rain and wind, while EN ISO 13688 covers the general requirements for protective clothing.
With its range of pockets, including flapped chest pockets, a phone pocket, pen pockets, side pockets and an inner pocket, the jacket is well suited to road and civil construction work, traffic safety, logistics and winter services, where visibility and practical storage both matter. The zip-covered front placket and the option for easy logo application also make it a strong choice for outfitting entire teams.
