The Kratos® tripod from Feldtmann is a mobile anchor device designed for access to confined spaces such as shafts, tanks or manholes. It suits companies and safety professionals who need a stable yet portable anchorage point for fall protection or rescue operations. Height-adjustable from 1.15 m to 2.15 m, it accommodates openings ranging from 1.08 m to 1.62 m in width.
The head unit comes fitted with a pulley wheel and two anchorage rings, allowing a rescue line or fall arrest device to be attached directly and without extra hardware. Stability is provided by steel articulated legs with rubber feet, which keep the tripod firmly planted even on uneven or slippery ground. The aluminium frame keeps the unit relatively light and easy to transport despite a rated capacity of 500 kg, and a carrying bag is included.
As an anchor device, the tripod is certified to EN 795 Type B. This standard applies to transportable anchor devices that are freestanding rather than permanently fixed to a structure, which matches how a tripod is typically used across changing access points. This makes it suitable for use with fall arrest or rescue systems wherever a fixed structural anchor point is unavailable or impractical.
