The Kratos® Olympe-S fall arrest block is designed for use on mobile elevating work platforms, including situations involving double sharp edges. It suits users who need a compact and dependable fall protection device for platform work or similar tasks requiring both vertical and horizontal fall arrest. At just 0.77 kg with a webbing length of 1.75 m, the unit can be carried on the harness without restricting freedom of movement.
The webbing is made from 21 mm Aramid, a material known for high tensile strength and resistance to mechanical wear. The housing is made of high-strength polymer, combining metal-like durability with a fraction of the weight, which translates into comfortable wear and long service life on site. The energy absorber comes with a removable cover, making visual inspection and handling in the field noticeably easier. A steel karabiner and an aluminium hook are included, so the system is ready to use straight out of the box.
Certified to EN 360:2002 and DIN 19427:2017, the device meets the requirements for retractable type fall arresters. Its integrated braking system keeps the arrest force below 6 kN, while the force transmitted to the anchor point during a fall stays under 3 kN, both figures that meaningfully reduce stress on the body and the anchorage in an emergency. With a breaking strength above 15 kN and approval for users up to 140 kg, the Olympe-S covers a wide range of applications in both vertical and horizontal use.
This makes it a strong choice for work on elevating platforms in industry, construction and maintenance, where sharp edges and changing directions of movement are part of daily operations. Supplied in packs of 16, it is also a practical option for equipping entire teams or fleets.
