The Kratos Helixon-S self-retracting lifeline with a 6-metre working length is designed for work at height where users need freedom of movement without giving up the reassurance of constant fall protection. Rated for users up to 140 kg, it can be installed both vertically and horizontally, making it a flexible choice whenever an anchor point is not directly overhead.
The housing is made of polyamide and features a hinged inspection window that lets you check the condition of the device and the webbing inside without opening it up. The connecting element itself is a 25 mm polyester webbing strap fitted with a fall indicator, so it is immediately visible whether the unit has already arrested a fall. At around 3.2 kg, it stays light enough to carry on a harness throughout a working day.
Tested to EN 360, the device includes an integrated brake system that limits impact force to under 6 kN in the event of a fall. Combined with the external shock absorber, this keeps the forces transmitted to the body well within safe limits, which matters most on longer drops. The unit ships in packs of 4, making it a practical option for equipping several workers at once.
