The Kratos Helixon-S fall arrester with a 15-metre cable is built for anyone working at height who needs dependable fall protection without being restricted in movement. The device retracts and extends automatically, letting users move freely while the built-in brake engages instantly in the event of a fall. With a maximum load of 140 kg, it also covers use with heavier gear or tools carried on the body.
The housing is made of durable polyamide and features a hinged inspection window that makes it easy to check the device's condition during everyday use. Inside runs a galvanised steel wire cable with a 4.8 mm diameter, engineered for long service life under the tough conditions found on construction sites and in industrial settings. A cord guides the cable as it retracts, keeping the winding controlled and free of tangles, which makes handling noticeably easier on site.
Certified to EN 360, the standard for retractable type fall arresters, the integrated braking system keeps the arrest force below 6 kN in the event of a fall, a value that significantly reduces the strain on the body. The included energy absorber lanyard adds further protection. Since the unit can be used both vertically and horizontally, it suits a wide range of fall protection setups, including scaffolding, roof work, and industrial installation tasks.
