The Kratos OLYMPE-S2 fall arrester is built for work at height where dependable fall protection is essential. With a length of 2 metres and a weight of 1.25 kg, it attaches easily to an anchor point and moves with the user without giving way in the event of a fall. It is aimed at professionals working on roofs, scaffolding or other environments with a risk of falling.
The webbing is made from 21 mm polyester and is rated for fall factor 2 up to a maximum of 1.80 m, meaning that even demanding fall scenarios with high loads are safely absorbed. The integrated braking system limits impact force to below 6 kN, significantly reducing the strain on the body when arresting a fall. The externally mounted webbing energy absorber comes with a removable cover, making it easier to handle on site. An aluminium karabiner and aluminium scaffold hook are included, so the device is ready to use straight away.
The EN 360:2002 standard confirms its suitability as a fall arrester and ensures that braking performance and impact force meet tested safety requirements. Particularly relevant in practice is its approval for horizontal use, meaning work near sharp edges, a scenario many other devices cannot handle. The rated load exceeds 15 kN, with a maximum user weight of 140 kg for vertical use and 100 kg for horizontal use.
