The Half-Zip XWARM undershirt from Blaklader is a base layer designed for anyone working outdoors in bitter cold. As a heavyweight garment, it is built for extreme low temperatures and suits stationary outdoor work in particular, where you are exposed to the cold for extended periods, such as on construction sites, roofs, or installation jobs.
The fabric combines an inner layer of channel-knit polypropylene with an outer layer of merino wool. The polypropylene draws moisture away from the skin, while the merino wool absorbs it, keeping you dry even during physical exertion, and the ribbed knit together with the terry inner surface makes for a comfortable feel against the skin. At 275 g/m², the fabric is noticeably dense and warming without feeling stiff. The extended back and ribbed cuffs stop cold air getting in at the waist or wrists, and the high collar with zip can be opened or fully closed as needed.
Recommended for temperatures between -20°C and -35°C, this undershirt is built for genuinely extreme winter conditions. It is worn as a first layer beneath further workwear or weatherproof clothing, making it a fit for bricklayers, roofers, electricians, groundworkers, and road and construction workers who spend long stretches outdoors in the cold.
