This bib overall from Blaklader is a sleeveless coverall built for tradespeople, electricians and service technicians who work in environments with thermal or electrical hazards. The knee pad pockets open from below, and the chest pockets can be detached at the bottom, making it easier to work while bending forward. Stretch panels on the back add freedom of movement for kneeling or crouching tasks.
The fabric is a blend of modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide and aramid with an antistatic component, and it's inherently flame-resistant, meaning the protection is built into the fibre itself rather than a coating that can wear off. At 260 g/m², the ripstop fabric stays light while remaining tough enough for demanding daily use. Its water- and dirt-repellent surface cuts down on maintenance, and the fully metal-free construction, including a plastic zip, is a practical advantage for anyone working near live electrics. CORDURA, Kevlar and Protal reinforcements at the knees, ruler pocket and back pockets extend the garment's service life exactly where wear is heaviest.
The garment carries several certifications: EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flame, EN 61482-2 verifies protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc, and EN 1149-5 relates to the antistatic properties of the material. EN ISO 20471 class 1 adds visible high-visibility protection suited to roadwork and construction sites, reinforced by flame-resistant reflective tape with double stitching. A comprehensive set of pockets, including a ruler pocket, phone pocket and ID pocket, plus a tool loop on one of the chest pockets, makes this overall a practical choice for daily work on site or in technical service roles.
