The Blaklader XLIGHT undershirt is a light base layer made from 100% merino wool, built for anyone who needs a garment under a jacket or coverall that keeps them warm without adding bulk. With a recommended temperature range of +10°C to -10°C, it works through most of the year, from cool spring days into winter, and its slim fit means it layers smoothly under further clothing instead of bunching up.
The fabric is a single jersey knit at 160 g/m², so it stays thin and light while still delivering what merino wool is known for: good insulation and moisture transport that wicks sweat away from the skin instead of trapping it. That keeps the body drier during changing levels of activity and gives a more even feel of warmth than a purely synthetic undershirt would. The extended back and the shaped waist keep the shirt from riding up when bending or reaching, which matters on ladders or in stooped working positions, and the crew neck with contrast stitching rounds off a clean, comfortable finish.
Thanks to these properties, the undershirt suits trades that spend a lot of time outdoors or facing shifting temperatures, such as construction, roofing and sheet metal work, landscaping and gardening, driving, and painting.
