These craftsman shorts from Blakläder's 1599 series are designed for anyone who refuses to trade function for comfort in warm weather. Tradespeople, electricians, sheet metal workers, gardeners and warehouse staff get a pair of work shorts with a full tool-carrying setup and genuine freedom of movement, thanks to stretch panels across the front, the yoke and the crotch.
The base fabric is a hardwearing 340 g/m² canvas made from 60% cotton and 40% polyester, reinforced with Cordura in high-wear areas. That combination holds up well to daily wear on site or in the warehouse without feeling stiff or heavy - the 4-way stretch panels at the front and yoke, together with the 2-way stretch fabric in the crotch, flex exactly where the body needs it most. Reinforced tool and rear pockets with pleats, a padded ruler pocket with a knife holder and pen pocket, plus a flexible phone pocket, turn these shorts into a real working tool rather than just trousers. Metal buttons, a plastic zip in the crotch and a double-stitched crotch seam are built for sustained use, while the removable ID pocket can be taken off when not needed.
A reflective detail on the leg pocket adds extra visibility on site, useful in dimly lit warehouses or wherever vehicle traffic is a factor. Wide belt loops at the back and sides, a hammer loop with a button fastening, and a D-ring at the waistband complete the practical setup, making these shorts a solid choice for anyone on the move all day who needs their tools close at hand.
