These painter shorts from Blaklader are built for anyone who wants freedom of movement and practical storage without the weight of full-length trousers in warm working conditions. The design suits painters and other tradespeople who carry a lot of tools on the job but still want a light, breathable fit. Alongside the men's version, the shorts are also available as a women's model.
The thinner 2-way stretch fabric, made from polyester, cotton and Elastofin, feels comfortable even during long shifts, while the added 4-way stretch panels give extra flexibility exactly where movement matters most, such as around the hips and thighs. The rear pocket and the dedicated pocket for putty knives and tools are reinforced with CORDURA®, making them noticeably more resistant to wear and extending the shorts' working life. Details such as metal buttons, a plastic zip fly and a D-ring on the waistband add to the sturdy overall build.
Every pocket has been designed with real jobsite use in mind: built-in nail pockets, a leg pocket with bellows shaped specifically for putty knives and brushes, a leg pocket with hook-and-loop closure and an inner mesh phone pocket, plus a knife holder with a button keep tools secure and within easy reach. A removable ID card pocket and a wide loop at the back round off a well-thought-out garment for painters and other trades who want to stay cool but fully equipped on site.
