The Blaklader X1500 painter's pirate trousers are built for painters, bricklayers and tilers who need freedom of movement on site along with easy access to their tools. Cut as shorts with a relaxed fit, they move with you when working overhead or crouching down, without ever feeling restrictive.
Made from 100% cotton in a twill weave at 320 g/m², they offer the sturdy yet comfortable feel expected from proper painter's workwear. At the points that take the most punishment on the job, the front pockets, seat pockets, rule pocket, leg pockets and knees, the fabric is reinforced with CORDURA®, giving noticeably better resistance to abrasion and wear from kneeling or carrying tools in the pockets all day.
The pocket layout is equally well thought out: a dedicated leg pocket is designed specifically for a putty knife and brush, alongside tool pockets with loops for painting tools, a pen pocket, an inner mesh phone pocket, and bellowed thigh and seat pockets. The CORDURA®-reinforced knee pad pockets hold knee pads and are tested to EN 14404-3 together with knee pads 4027, 4032, 4057 and 4058, meaning solid protection during kneeling work. A hammer loop, a detachable ID pocket and loops including a D-ring round off the equipment for everyday site work.
