These Blaklader painter shorts are built for painters, bricklayers and tilers who want freedom of movement in warm weather without giving up smart storage for their tools. The white colour and sturdy construction shrug off paint splashes, while the relaxed fit leaves plenty of room for climbing ladders or crouching on site. Available from size C44 to C60, there is a fit for almost everyone.
The fabric is a 100% cotton twill weighing 320 g/m², a weight that feels sturdy and grippy on the job and holds up well to the daily wear and tear of a building site. At the points that take the most punishment, such as the putty knife pocket, the fabric gets extra reinforcement from CORDURA®, which noticeably extends the life of the shorts. The back pockets are gusseted, giving them more room to expand without losing their shape.
The pocket layout is built around a painter's actual workday: nail pockets, a leg pocket with a pencil holder, a phone pocket with an ID slot, and tool pockets with screwdriver compartments keep small parts and tools within easy reach at all times. Practical details such as the plastic zip fly, the triple-stitched inseam and metal buttons show that everyday use was factored into the design. The fabric is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which adds peace of mind for anyone wearing the shorts directly against the skin.
