The Blåkläder Garden Shorts is made for anyone who works outdoors in summer and needs proper pockets more than a fashionable cut. It is aimed at gardeners and landscapers, but also suits warehouse workers and cleaners who want a tough pair of shorts with plenty of storage. The raised back waist keeps things covered and in place when bending or kneeling.
The outer fabric is a twill blend of 55% polyester and 45% cotton, woven to a solid 270 g/m², partly from recycled polyester. That combination feels sturdy on the job while staying breathable enough for warm-weather work, holding up to daily wear on site or in the garden without complaint. The areas that take the most punishment - the back pockets, front pockets, ruler pocket and leg pocket - are further reinforced with CORDURA®, a fabric that resists abrasion far better than the base material alone.
The details reveal how closely this pair of shorts follows a tradesperson's routine: the extra-wide ruler pocket with pen and knife holder, the leg pocket with flap and an extra small pocket, and the waist-mounted phone pocket keep tools and personal items organised. Wide loops at the back and sides, two of them fitted with D-rings, let you attach extra tools or carabiners. The metal zip fly and double-stitched crotch seam are built for repeated strain, made to hold up through constant bending and kneeling.
