The Blaklader Craftsman Shorts Lightweight are built for anyone who needs full-featured tool storage even when temperatures rise: electricians, fitters, mechanics and concrete workers who spend their days outdoors and still want everything within reach. Instead of a heavyweight standard fabric, these shorts use a noticeably lighter weave that keeps you comfortable on hot days without cutting back on functionality.
The fabric is a finely woven blend of polyester and cotton weighing 166 g/m², which keeps the shorts light and breathable against the skin. The areas that take the most punishment on site have been reinforced accordingly: the tool pockets, rear pockets and ruler pocket are made with CORDURA®, standing up well to daily contact with tools and building materials. The inseam is triple-stitched, adding extra durability where the shorts are put under the most strain.
The pocket layout is equally well thought through. Alongside classic bellows rear and front pockets, there is a ruler pocket with a knife holder and pen pocket, a leg pocket with flap and pen pocket, and separate compartments for a phone and ID. The tool pockets, complete with screwdriver slots and tool loops, can be tucked straight into the front pockets so everything stays organised on site. A metal zip at the crotch, metal buttons and several belt loops, including one with a D-ring and one dedicated to a hammer loop, round off the equipment.
