The X1900 tradesman shorts are the short-leg version of Blåkläder's proven 1998 craftsman trousers, made for anyone who needs full freedom of movement without sacrificing functionality on warm working days. Unlike its twin model 1988, this version skips the nail pockets, but keeps the same well-thought-out setup that suits tradesmen, electricians, sheet metal workers, mechanics and warehouse staff who rely on having their tools within reach throughout the day.
Made from a fabric blend of 93% polyamide and 7% elastane in a dobby weave, the 4-way stretch construction moves with the body instead of restricting it. At 295 g/m², the material sits in a sturdy weight range that holds up well on site while still feeling light and flexible to wear. The close-fitting slim cut reinforces that sense of freedom of movement without ever feeling tight.
Storage is built entirely around a tradesman's daily tool use: pleated back pockets, a bellows leg pocket with a flap and hook-and-loop closure plus an inner mesh phone pocket, and an additional zipped leg pocket provide plenty of space. A reinforced ruler pocket with a knife holder and pen pocket, together with side loops fitted with a button for a hammer holder, make these shorts a practical companion for jobs where tools need to be grabbed fast. Wide belt loops, a D-ring at the waist and a triple-stitched inseam add extra durability for daily use, while a reflective detail on the leg pocket helps with visibility.
