The X1900 Craftsman Shorts from Blåkläder are the short version of the well-known 1998 work trousers, with the added bonus of nail pockets. They are built for anyone who needs full freedom of movement on the job, whether on a construction site, in the garden, or doing electrical work, without giving up serious tool storage. The slim, close-fitting cut keeps the shorts out of your way while still leaving room for every kind of movement.
The fabric is 93% polyamide and 7% elastane in a dobby weave with genuine 4-way stretch, weighing 295 g/m². In practice, that means the shorts flex in every direction without the fabric losing its shape, even after repeated wear on site. The ruler pocket, tool pockets and rear pockets are reinforced, partly with Cordura, so the areas that take the most friction and strain hold up over time. According to the manufacturer, the shorts are certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, meaning the textile has been tested for harmful substances.
The pocket layout is built for real tool use: the extra-wide tool pockets with additional compartments and loops take on bulkier tools, the reinforced ruler pocket comes with a knife holder and pen pocket, and a hammer loop can simply be buttoned on. The bellows leg pocket with hook-and-loop closure also includes an internal mesh phone pocket, while a reflective detail on the leg pocket adds visibility. This makes the shorts a strong fit for craftsmen, electricians, sheet metal workers, gardeners and warehouse staff who need tough, well-equipped summer workwear with plenty of freedom to move.
