These craftsman shorts from Blaklader are the shorts version of the well-known 1522 craftsman trousers, designed for anyone who wants smart storage and freedom of movement even on warm days. Thanks to their slimmer fit and closer-cut look, they feel more modern than a typical pair of work shorts, without giving up any of the functionality tradespeople rely on. Craftsmen, electricians, gardeners, warehouse staff and service workers will find a garment that is built for daily use on site or out in the field.
The fabric is made from 92% polyamide and 8% elastane, double-woven and finished with 4-way stretch. At 230 g/m² it stays pleasantly light while moving with the body in every direction, which makes a real difference when bending, kneeling or climbing around a job site. The hanging pockets, back pockets and ruler pocket are reinforced with CORDURA®, a tough fabric that holds up far longer against abrasion from tools and materials than a simple cotton reinforcement would.
Storage has been thought through in detail: alongside the reinforced ruler pocket with knife holder and pen pocket, the shorts offer tool pockets with tool holders, an extra zippered pocket, a phone pocket, a removable ID pocket and gusseted back pockets, one of which also closes with a zip. Two loops on the sides hold a hammer holder, while a D-ring on the waistband gives extra support for tools or keys. Details such as the plastic zip in the crotch, metal buttons and the double-stitched crotch seam show that these shorts are built to handle the daily wear and tear of real work.
