The Craftsman Pirate Trousers from Blaklader are the shorts version of the proven 1599 craftsman trousers, built for anyone on site or in the workshop who needs freedom of movement without giving up the practical details of a classic work trouser. With tool pockets, kneepad pockets and a reinforced ruler pocket with knife holder, they are designed for the everyday tool use of carpenters, electricians, sheet metal workers or landscapers.
The outer fabric is a sturdy cotton-polyester canvas at 340 g/m², combined with 4-way stretch panels at the front, calf and seat. A thinner 2-way stretch insert in the crotch improves ventilation, while the kneepad pockets in reinforced Cordura stretch add extra durability for kneeling work. The result is a pair of shorts that moves with you when bending, reaching or crouching instead of holding you back, with triple-stitched inner leg seams and metal buttons built for continuous wear on the job. Certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, the fabric has also been tested for harmful substances.
The trousers come with a wide range of well-thought-out pockets: pleated back pockets, a pleated leg pocket, a pen pocket, a flexible phone pocket, and two large pockets, one with a zip and a removable ID card pocket. Wide belt loops at the back and sides, a hammer loop with button, and a D-ring at the waistband complete the setup for everyday tool use. Reflective details on the leg add extra visibility in low-light conditions.
