These craftsman shorts from Blaklader are built for anyone who needs freedom of movement on the job without giving up rugged functionality, from electricians and sheet metal workers to warehouse staff and general tradespeople. The slightly thinner 4-way stretch fabric makes them noticeably easier to wear than a standard work trouser, especially during tasks that call for constant bending, kneeling or reaching.
The fabric is a double-woven blend of 92% polyamide and 8% elastane at 230 g/m², giving the shorts a light, flexible feel that still holds up to daily wear. Reinforcement panels made from CORDURA® protect the areas that take the most punishment, including the knees, rear pockets, ruler pocket and leg pockets, so the shorts keep performing on site or in the warehouse without wearing thin. The knee pad pockets combine stretch material inside and out for a more ergonomic fit when working on your knees, and a mesh insert behind the knee helps with airflow during long shifts.
Where the shorts really stand out is in the pocket layout: tool pockets with holders plus an extra zippered compartment, a reinforced ruler pocket with a knife holder and pen slot, a removable ID pocket, and loops on both sides for hammer holders turn them into a genuine working tool belt in trouser form. Reflective details on the leg improve visibility, while the plastic zip at the crotch and the double-stitched crotch seam add extra durability for everyday use.
