The RUNNEX® LightStar is an S3S safety shoe with ESD properties, designed to keep weight to a minimum without cutting corners on protection. That makes it a strong choice for anyone on their feet all day who wants safety footwear that feels light and easy to wear rather than bulky and stiff.
The upper combines hydrophobic microfibre with hydrophobic textile material, keeping moisture out while staying flexible and comfortable over long shifts. An abrasion-resistant toe cap protection area keeps the front of the shoe robust even under demanding daily use. Inside, the RUNNEX® AIRSTREAM functional lining supports a good foot climate, while the RUNNEX® SOFTtouch heel lining adds comfort around the heel. The rubber outsole paired with a Phylon midsole delivers noticeable cushioning, which makes a real difference during long periods of standing or moving on hard floors.
On the protection side, the shoe is tested to EN ISO 20345:2022 in class S3S FO, meaning it offers penetration-resistant construction along with a sole resistant to fuel oil. It also meets EN 61340-4-3:2001 for dissipative footwear, relevant wherever electrostatic charge needs to be controlled. DGUV112-191 is listed as an additional reference standard, applicable to workplaces with specific footwear requirements.
This mix of ESD protection, low weight and reliable safety features makes the LightStar well suited to ESD-sensitive workstations as well as everyday use in industry and trades. It also proves its versatility at airports and in settings that switch between indoor and outdoor environments.
