The RUNNEX® LightStar is a safety lace-up boot for anyone who needs reliable protection through long working days without carrying extra weight underfoot. It balances a noticeably lighter build with solid safety features, making it a comfortable companion for jobs that involve constant standing or walking. Its ESD properties also make it a targeted choice for workplaces where electrostatic discharge needs to be kept under control.
The upper, made from hydrophobic microfibre and hydrophobic textile material, keeps moisture out without adding stiffness or bulk. Abrasion-resistant toe protection means the boot holds its shape and function even under demanding daily use. Inside, the RUNNEX® AIRSTREAM functional lining supports a pleasant foot climate, while the RUNNEX® SOFTtouch heel lining adds secure fit and wearing comfort. A rubber outsole with a Phylon midsole delivers the cushioning needed, without weighing the boot down.
Tested to EN ISO 20345:2022 in safety class S3S FO, the boot protects against mechanical hazards to the foot and has a fuel-resistant sole. The additional certification to EN 61340-4-3:2001 confirms its dissipative ESD properties, preventing electrostatic charge build-up in the wearer. Classification as PPE Category II and testing to DGUV112-191 complete its safety profile.
This makes the LightStar well suited to industry and trade, ESD workplaces and airports, indoors and outdoors alike, wherever protection and lightweight comfort both matter.
