The RUNNEX® SportStar is an S3S safety lace-up boot for anyone who needs reliable foot protection without giving up the feel of a sneaker. It suits workers in industry and skilled trades who spend long hours on their feet and want a casual, sporty look combined with full safety footwear performance.
The upper, made from water-repellent microfibre material with TPU trims and water-repellent textile sections, keeps moisture out while staying flexible rather than stiff. Inside, the RUNNEX® SPORTY functional lining works together with the RUNNEX® SOFTtouch heel lining to create a comfortable climate and a snug, non-restrictive heel fit. The rubber outsole with Phylon midsole and the RUNNEX® activeBumper cushioning technology by Evonik noticeably absorb impact with every step, which makes a real difference during long shifts on hard flooring or frequent walking.
The SportStar is tested to EN ISO 20345:2022 in safety class S3S FO, which covers features such as a penetration-resistant sole, a water-resistant upper and fuel-resistant outsole. It also meets EN 61340-5-1:2016, giving it ESD properties that safely dissipate electrostatic charge and protect sensitive components and equipment from unwanted discharge. Classification under DGUV112-191 further confirms its suitability as certified foot protection.
This makes the SportStar a strong choice for ESD workstations as well as indoor and outdoor use in industrial and trade environments, wherever safety, static protection and everyday comfort all matter at once.
