These multi-norm work trousers from Blaklader are built for electricians, service technicians, and oil and gas workers who spend their days in demanding, high-risk environments. They combine layered protection with a dirt- and water-repellent surface, plus stretch panels at the crotch and seat that give real freedom of movement during awkward postures and repetitive tasks.
The fabric, a blend of FR polyester, Modacrylic, and cotton with an antistatic thread, is inherently flame-retardant, meaning the protection is built into the fibre itself and won't wash out over time. Reinforcements in CORDURA®, Kevlar®, and Protal® at the knees, together with the external kneepad pockets, add real durability against abrasion and the daily wear of kneeling work. The trousers are PFAS-free, metal-free, and rated for industrial laundering at 60°C, making them a practical choice for workwear that goes through commercial laundry cycles on a regular basis.
The certifications cover a wide range of hazards: EN ISO 11612 protects against heat and flames, EN 1149 dissipates static electricity, and IEC 61482-2 guards against the thermal effects of an electric arc flash. EN ISO 20471 adds high-visibility performance through flame-retardant reflective tape, keeping the wearer visible in daylight and under vehicle headlights, while EN 14404 confirms protection for kneeling work. The garment is also rated for use in ATEX-classified environments, and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification confirms it has been tested for harmful substances.
