This multinorm work trouser from Blaklader is built for tradespeople, electricians and road and construction workers who need several layers of protection in a single garment. Finished to repel oil, dirt and water, it is designed for demanding job sites while still offering practical storage: a ruler pocket with knife holder, a bellows leg pocket, and a removable ID pocket for flame-retardant clothing all reflect real working conditions rather than afterthoughts.
The outer fabric is a robust cotton-polyester blend with an antistatic fibre content, woven in a twill structure and weighing 350 g/m², striking a balance between durability and everyday comfort. The knee pad pockets sit on the outside of the leg and are reinforced with CORDURA®/Kevlar®/Protal™, with two positioning levels for the knee pads, so the trousers hold up well under repeated kneeling on hard surfaces. They are suitable for industrial laundering, and depending on the certification involved can withstand up to 50 or 20 wash cycles according to the manufacturer without losing their protective properties.
The multinorm certification covers a wide range of hazards: EN ISO 11612 protects against heat and flame, EN ISO 11611 covers welding hazards, EN 13034 protects against liquid chemicals, and EN 1149-5 provides antistatic properties that matter in explosive atmospheres. EN ISO 20471 Class 2 also qualifies the trousers as high-visibility workwear, with flame-retardant reflective tape featuring double stitching to keep the wearer visible even under heavy use. The IEC 61482-2 rating, with an ATPV of 11.0 cal/cm², adds protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc flash.
This makes the trousers a strong fit for electricians, welders and workers in road and civil construction who regularly face multiple hazards at once and need flame, chemical, high-visibility and arc-flash protection combined in one garment.
