Product information "Craftsman Work Trousers Inherent 1418"
This pair of craftsman trousers from Blaklader is designed for work environments that demand both flexibility and dependable protection, such as electrical trades or industrial settings with arc flash or heat risk. Being completely metal-free, they are particularly suited to tasks carried out near live circuits or magnetic fields. Sewn-on holster pockets, three-part tool pockets and bellowed leg pockets keep tools and small items within easy reach, while the raised back waist with side elastication keeps the fit comfortable through constant bending and stretching.
The fabric blend of modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide and aramid with an antistatic fibre is inherently flame-resistant, meaning the protection is built into the fibres themselves rather than applied as a coating that can wash out. The rugged 260 g/m² ripstop fabric feels tough and grippy in daily wear, and the water- and dirt-repellent surface helps the trousers stay presentable even under demanding conditions. Pre-shaped knees with kneepad pockets that open from below make kneeling on hard surfaces far less strenuous, and the adjustable ankle openings with snap buttons allow the fit to be tailored to different types of footwear.
On the protection side, the trousers meet several standards: EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flame, EN 61482-2 verifies suitability for work carrying an arc flash risk, and EN 1149-5 provides antistatic properties relevant to electrostatically sensitive tasks. The trousers are also approved for industrial laundering to EN ISO 15797, rated for up to 50 wash cycles, making them a practical choice for businesses using professional laundry services.
This makes the trousers a strong fit for electricians, industrial technicians and anyone working in roles with a genuine need for flame protection who still wants full mobility and generous tool storage on the job.
