These bib overalls from Blaklader are built for people who face more than one hazard at work at the same time, including welders, electricians, road and construction workers, and staff in the oil and gas industry. The flame-resistant property is woven directly into the fibre structure rather than applied as a coating, so it stays effective even as the garment wears over time.
The fabric blend of FR polyester, Modacrylic and cotton, with a small antistatic component, is soft and flexible, which makes the overalls comfortable to wear despite their protective role. Reinforcements at the knees made from CORDURA®, Kevlar® and Protal® add extra durability exactly where workwear takes the most punishment. The exposed pockets are reinforced with double fabric for a longer working life, and the outer material is water- and dirt-repellent. Being metal-free and PFAS-free, the garment is also suitable for use in ATEX-classified environments, and it is approved for industrial laundering at 60°C.
The certifications cover a wide range of risks: EN ISO 11611 protects during welding work, EN ISO 11612 guards against heat and open flames, EN 1149 helps dissipate electrostatic charge, and IEC 61482-2 protects against the thermal effects of an electric arc. EN 13034 provides protection against contact with liquid chemicals, while EN ISO 20471 class 2 ensures good visibility in high-vis situations. EN 14404 addresses kneeling work, supported by the external knee pad pockets, and the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label confirms that the material has been tested for harmful substances.
With its many practical pockets, adjustable braces with elastic inserts and the option to extend the leg length, the garment adapts easily to different body types and working conditions.
