This multi-norm work trouser from Blaklader is built for anyone working in hazardous environments, from electricians and service technicians to workers in the oil and gas industry. Tool pockets, a ruler and knife pocket, and a leg pocket with a phone compartment keep essentials within reach, while stretch panels at the crotch and seat allow full freedom of movement. A women's version of this trouser is also available.
The fabric is made from FR polyester, modacrylic and cotton with an antistatic component, and it's inherently flame-resistant, meaning the protection is built into the fibre itself rather than applied as a coating that can wash out. The material is dirt- and water-repellent yet highly durable, and CORDURA®/Kevlar®/Protal® reinforcements at the knees add extra strength where wear is heaviest. The trousers are metal-free, PFAS-free and approved for industrial washing at 60°C, making them practical for regular use in demanding work settings.
The certifications cover several risk areas: EN ISO 11612 protects against heat and flame, EN 1149 provides antistatic protection, IEC 61482-2 guards against the thermal hazards of electric arcs, and EN ISO 20471 ensures high visibility on roads and construction sites. The trousers also meet EN 14404 for kneeling work and are tested against harmful substances under OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. They are additionally designed for use in ATEX-classified environments.
This makes the trousers a strong choice for tradespeople, electricians, service staff and oil and gas workers who face daily risks from heat, flame or arc flash exposure, without having to compromise on mobility or practical storage.
