These Blaklader multi-norm work trousers are designed for anyone working under demanding conditions, from electricians and road or construction workers to service staff and oil and gas industry personnel. The flame-retardant protection is not applied to the fabric but built directly into the fibre structure, so it stays effective wash after wash and season after season.
The fabric blend of FR polyester, modacrylic and cotton with an antistatic component weighs in at 315 g/m², striking a solid balance between protection and weight so the trousers do not feel like a burden during long shifts. Reinforcements made from CORDURA®, Kevlar® and Protal® at the knees keep the most heavily used areas durable, while exposed pockets get an extra layer of fabric for added longevity. The trousers are entirely metal-free, use plastic components throughout, and come with a water- and dirt-repellent, PFAS-free finish that also makes them suitable for industrial laundering at 60°C.
On the protection side, these trousers cover a wide range of hazards. EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flames, EN 1149 verifies the antistatic properties needed for ATEX-classified environments, and IEC 61482-2 certifies protection against the thermal hazards of an electric arc. EN ISO 14404 confirms a safe fit for kneeling work when used together with the appropriate knee pads, while EN ISO 20471 class 2, combined with the flame-retardant reflective tape, ensures good visibility in daylight and darkness alike. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 further confirms that the material has been tested for harmful substances.
With practical pocket solutions such as a rule pocket with knife holder, reinforced tool pockets and external knee pad pockets, these trousers are built for daily tool use on construction sites or electrical work, and are available in sizes C44 to D24 for both men and women.
