The Multinorm Trousers Inherent from Blaklader are built for people who move between different hazard zones on the job - electricians, road and construction workers, service technicians, and oil and gas workers all get a pair of trousers that combines several types of protection in one garment without feeling overly bulky. A well-thought-out set of pockets, including tool pockets, an open ruler pocket and back pockets without flaps, keeps them practical for everyday work too.
The fabric blend of FR polyester, modacrylic, cotton and an antistatic component has its protective function built directly into the fibre structure, so it doesn't wear off or wash out over time. At 315 g/m², the material stays comfortable to wear even during long shifts. The knees are reinforced with CORDURA®/Kevlar®/Protal®, and exposed pockets are double-layered, which adds extra durability exactly where the trousers take the most strain. Since every component is metal-free and made from plastic, the trousers are also suitable for work in ATEX-classified environments. They can be industrially washed at 60°C and the material is PFAS-free.
On the protection side, these trousers cover a lot of ground: EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flames, EN 61482-2 provides protection against the effects of an electric arc, and EN 1149 delivers antistatic properties that matter in explosion-risk areas. On top of that, the trousers meet EN ISO 20471 Class 1 for enhanced visibility and EN 14404 for kneeling work when paired with the right knee pads. This combination makes them a genuine multi-norm solution for jobs where several hazards can occur at once.
That makes them a strong fit for tradespeople and electricians working near live equipment, for road and construction crews who need both visibility and heat protection, and for service staff and oil and gas workers, where ATEX requirements and antistatic protection are essential.
