These winter bib trousers from Blaklader are built for anyone working outdoors in cold, wind and wet conditions who needs more than one type of protection at once: electricians, road and construction workers, and service technicians who need to stay visible while also being protected against heat, flames and the weather. The metal-free, inherently flame-retardant design in High Vis Yellow/Navy combines Class 2 visibility with a level of function that goes well beyond ordinary winter workwear.
The fabric blend of Modacrylic, cotton, polyamide, polyurethane and aramid is laminated and waterproof to 12,000 mm, yet still breathable, so heat doesn't build up during physical work. The warm quilted lining keeps you comfortable even at low temperatures, and welded seams keep wind and rain reliably out. Reinforcements at the knee pad pockets and the back of the leg hem add durability exactly where workwear takes the most punishment, while adjustable waist width, leg width and detachable braces let the fit adapt to different body types and layering needs.
The trousers meet a wide range of protection standards, each covering a different type of hazard: EN ISO 11612 protects against heat and flames, EN ISO 11611 covers welding work, EN 13034 offers protection against certain chemical splashes, and EN 1149-5 dissipates electrostatic charge. Arc protection to IEC 61482-2 (APC 2) makes them especially relevant for electricians facing arc flash risks. Certified to EN 343 Class 4/1 and EN 342, the trousers are tested against wind, rain and cold, while the segmented reflective tape under EN ISO 20471 Class 2 ensures good visibility on roads and construction sites.
