This sports bra from Blaklader is designed as flame-resistant underwear for women who wear it beneath protective workwear, where it helps shield the skin from heat that penetrates the outer layers. The cups feature a double layer of fabric, reinforcing exactly the area where standard underwear would otherwise become a weak point.
The bra is knitted in a 1x1 rib structure from a blend of modacrylic, cotton and elastane, giving it a stretchy fit and a soft, next-to-skin feel that holds up through long shifts. The fabric is finished to be antistatic and flame-retardant, and at 360 g/m² it offers a reassuring weight without feeling stiff or bulky. An elastic waistband keeps it in place during movement, making it practical for everyday wear under demanding conditions.
Certification to EN ISO 14116 confirms the fabric's limited flame spread, while EN 1149-5 verifies its antistatic properties, reducing the risk of electrostatic discharge in environments where that matters. The garment is also tested to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, confirming it's been checked for harmful substances in direct skin contact.
