The model 0290 gown made from Tychem® 2000 C is a disposable protective garment designed for work involving splashes or contact with liquid chemicals and biologically contaminated substances. Built as partial body protection with a calf-length cut, it fastens at the back, allowing quick donning and removal for tasks that require frequent changes of protective clothing.
The outer material is a Tyvek® substrate with a polymer coating, a tough polyethylene fabric that feels light to wear without compromising on barrier performance. Seams are sewn and additionally taped, reducing permeability at the seam lines. Knitted cuffs with a double cuff system keep the sleeves securely in place, while the stand-up collar with hook-and-loop fastening at the neck adds extra security without restricting freedom of movement.
The gown meets PSA category 3, type PB [3-B] under EN 14605, protecting against splashes of liquid chemicals. It is also tested to EN 14126, covering protection against infective agents, which matters wherever biologically contaminated liquids are handled. The antistatic treatment according to EN 1149-1 helps prevent uncontrolled build-up of electrostatic charge, an important feature in environments with flammable substances or dust.
This makes the gown suitable for use in the chemical industry, laboratories, decontamination work, and medical or veterinary settings. It is supplied unpackaged individually, with a case quantity of 25 units, making it practical for regular commercial use.
