The POB0 overboot made from Tyvek® 500 is designed for anyone who needs reliable leg protection when working with liquids, spray mist or fine particles, without sacrificing freedom of movement. Standing 48 cm high with a 42 cm length, it covers a generous portion of the lower leg, while the elasticated calf and additional fixing straps keep it securely in place during use.
The outer material is 100% polyethylene in the form of the well-established HDPE Tyvek® fabric. In daily use this translates into high breathability, since the material allows air and water vapour to pass through, preventing heat build-up inside the boot. It is also low-linting and free of silicones, and the inner seams make it comfortable to wear without chafing or friction. The fabric's antistatic finish, applied on both sides, further helps prevent issues caused by electrostatic charge on the job.
As PSA category 3, type PB [6-B], the overboot provides partial body protection against fine particles, fibres and spray mist, and is tested to EN 13034 for protection against water-based liquids. Certification to EN 14126 additionally confirms its effectiveness against infective agents, making it suitable for environments with elevated hygiene requirements. EN 1149-1 verifies the material's antistatic properties, which matter in settings with combustible dusts or vapours.
This makes the POB0 a practical choice for cleaning and laboratory work, painting tasks, chemical handling, and medical or pharmaceutical applications where contamination control for the feet is essential. As the overboots are not individually packed and are supplied in bulk units of 100 or 20 pairs, they are particularly well suited to commercial users with ongoing consumption needs.
