The POS0 shoe covers made from Tyvek® 500 are disposable protective equipment for tasks where clothing and footwear need shielding from liquids, spray mist and fine particles. At 40 cm long with an elastic ankle band, they fit securely over shoes and go on quickly, making them a practical choice for short-term work in industrial settings, laboratories or cleanroom environments.
The outer material is 100% polyethylene (HDPE Tyvek®), low-linting and silicone-free, which suits it to sensitive work environments as well. Inside seams reduce friction and limit points where liquid could penetrate, while the material's high air and water vapour permeability makes extended wear more comfortable without heat building up underneath. At the same time, the barrier against fine particles and fibres stays strong, so protection and comfort don't come at each other's expense.
Under EN 13034, the material offers limited protection against contact with liquid chemicals such as splashes or spray mist, while EN 14126 confirms its performance against infective agents. The antistatic treatment to EN 1149-1, applied on both sides, helps prevent uncontrolled electrostatic discharge, which matters in environments with flammable substances or sensitive electronics. As PPE category 3, type PB [6-B], these shoe covers are designed for partial body protection against limited spray exposure.
Supplied as case goods with a minimum order of 20 pieces, they're well suited to businesses, labs or construction sites with regular demand for disposable protective gear in larger quantities.
