The Tychem® 6000 tape from DuPont is designed for anyone who needs to seal category 3 chemical protective clothing at critical points – for example in hazardous substance handling, industrial cleaning, or any work where gaps in protective gear are not an option. It provides extra sealing at the interfaces a suit alone cannot fully close, such as gloves, zip covers, boots and hoods.
Made from the proven Tychem® 6000 material and finished in yellow for good visibility on protective clothing, the tape performs reliably in daily use. It offers strong adhesion that holds under stress, yet tears off easily by hand without needing tools. Low roll memory means it stays flat and doesn't curl back on itself once applied, a small detail that makes a real difference when suiting up quickly on site.
Classified as PPE category 1, the tape is intended for use together with category 3 chemical protective clothing, acting as an additional chemical barrier at the suit's seams and openings.
Each roll measures 50 metres in length and 50 millimetres in width, supplied in packs of 12 rolls, making it a practical choice for businesses with ongoing demand for chemical protective equipment.
