The Proshield® 20 Sfr is a disposable protective coverall designed to be worn over flame-resistant clothing, ideal for anyone who needs an additional particle-tight and limited splash-tight barrier on top of their personal protective equipment. Its bright orange outer seams make the suit instantly recognisable, which is useful on sites where teams wear different levels of protection.
The outer fabric is a three-layer, halogen-free flame-retardant polypropylene nonwoven (SMS). In everyday use this means a lightweight, breathable and air-permeable garment that stays comfortable even over longer periods without compromising on protection. The three-piece hood, the covered zip and the elasticated waist, sleeve, leg and hood openings give the suit an ergonomic fit and stop particles from getting in at vulnerable points.
The coverall is tested to several standards: it is particle-tight to EN ISO 13982-1 (Type 5) and offers limited liquid splash protection to EN 13034 (Type 6), meaning reliable defence against fine dust and occasional liquid splashes. EN 1073-2 adds protection against contamination from radioactive particles, and the antistatic treatment to EN 1149-5 makes it suitable for environments where electrostatic discharge is a hazard. The EN ISO 14116 Index 1 rating provides limited protection against heat and flame spread. One key point: an Index 1 suit must never be worn directly against the skin and always has to go over a suit rated Index 2 or 3.
This makes the Proshield® 20 Sfr particularly suited to work that combines contamination control with flame-resistant clothing, such as industrial settings, tasks involving radioactive particles, or areas with an increased risk of fire or sparks. Supplied in packs of 50, it is a practical choice for businesses with regular protective clothing needs.
