The Tychem® 2000 C protective coverall is a disposable full-body suit designed for work involving hazardous chemicals and biological agents. Its attached socks with knee-length boot covers create a sealed transition to safety boots, eliminating exposed gaps at the leg. A hood with elastic, thumb loops, and elasticated cuffs at the arms, legs and waist keep the suit close to the body during movement, leaving no openings for splashes or dust to enter.
The outer material is a Tyvek® substrate with a polymer coating, a fabric that is lightweight yet forms a tough, continuous barrier. In practice this means a suit that moves well with the wearer while still providing solid, tear-resistant protection. The seams are sewn and additionally heat-sealed with barrier tape, giving them the same protective performance as the material itself rather than being a weak point. The zip and chin area are covered by a double self-adhesive flap, which makes the suit easy to put on while keeping the closure fully sealed.
The suit meets PSA category 3 and covers a wide protection range through type 3-B, 4-B, 5-B and 6-B: liquid-tight against chemical jets, spray-tight against fine mists, particle-tight against dust and fine particulates, and limited splash-tight against liquid splashes. Under EN 1073-2 it also protects against radioactive particle contamination, and EN 14126 certifies it as blood- and virus-tight, making it suitable for biological hazards as well. The antistatic treatment of the inner material under EN 1149-5 reduces electrostatic charge build-up, which matters in environments where explosion risk is a concern.
This makes the suit well suited to the chemical industry, handling of hazardous substances, decontamination work, and any setting that calls for combined protection against chemicals, particles and infectious agents. Supplied as pack goods with a minimum order of 20 units, it is aimed primarily at commercial buyers sourcing a dependable chemical protective suit in larger quantities.
