The Poba universal overboot from Feldtmann is built for situations where footwear needs reliable protection against splashes, dust and contamination. It extends up to knee height and is held securely in place by an elasticated cuff at the top plus additional fixing straps around the leg, so it stays put even during movement. The one-size-fits-all cut allows it to fit over a wide range of footwear.
The outer material is 100% polyethylene in the form of Tyvek®, a lightweight yet tear-resistant nonwoven fabric that feels thin and flexible to wear without restricting movement. The slip-resistant sole adds extra grip on smooth or contaminated floors. Since these overboots are designed for single use, there is no maintenance involved – they are simply disposed of after the job is done.
As PPE Category 3, Type PB [6-B], the overboots meet the requirements for partial chemical protection of limited body areas. EN 13034 confirms protection against liquid chemicals in the form of light spray, while EN 14126 verifies effectiveness against infective agents. This makes the overboots suitable for tasks involving potential contact with liquids, chemicals or biologically contaminated material.
