The Blaklader X1500 craftsman work trousers are designed for tradespeople who spend their day on the move and often on their knees: masons, tilers, plumbers, sheet metal workers, mechanics, floor layers and concrete workers will all find a trouser cut to suit their trade. The relaxed, pre-shaped fit with ergonomically curved legs allows plenty of freedom of movement when bending or kneeling, without the fabric pulling or restricting.
The trousers are made from 100% cotton in a twill weave weighing 370 g/m². That means a dense, hard-wearing fabric that feels comfortable against the skin and holds its shape through daily use on site. At the points that take the most punishment - the hanging pockets, back pockets, ruler pocket, leg pockets, knees and hem - CORDURA® reinforcement has been added, a tough fabric that resists abrasion and wear far longer than cotton alone. Reinforced seams at the crotch and a triple-stitched inside leg seam keep the trousers holding together through constant kneeling, bending and lunging.
The X1500 comes with an extra-wide, CORDURA®-reinforced ruler pocket with a pen holder and knife sheath, knee pad pockets for added protection, angled front pockets, back pockets with a gusset, and tool pockets with loops that tuck neatly into the trousers. There is also a leg pocket with a double zip compartment, a pen pocket and an internal mesh phone pocket. Loops including one with a D-ring, hammer holders at the sides and a detachable ID pocket round off a trouser built for practical everyday use, while OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification confirms its skin-friendly textile quality.
