The Blaklader 1961 craftsman work trousers are built for anyone who spends the day on the move while carrying a full set of tools: bricklayers, tilers, electricians, roofers and plumbers will find a pair of trousers that feels deceptively light yet takes serious punishment on site. The lower waistline and pre-shaped knees give a fit that moves with you when you crouch or bend, rather than fighting against it.
The CORDURA® NYCO fabric, a blend of 75% cotton and 25% polyamide at 250g/m², feels like a regular cotton trouser against the skin but holds up far longer at the knees and around the nail pockets before showing wear. Reinforced stitching at the crotch, a triple-stitched inseam and a plastic zip in the crotch area are built for the daily grind of a construction site without adding stiffness or weight. Certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, the fabric is also tested for harmful substances, which matters for a garment worn close to the skin all day long.
The details are equally practical: the extra-wide tool pockets fold back and out of the way when bending down, easing strain on the lower back by the end of a shift. Add to that a CORDURA®-reinforced ruler pocket with pen slot and knife holder, a phone pocket, extra leg pockets and knee pad pockets made from reinforced CORDURA® stretch fabric, tested together with matching knee pads to EN 14404-3. Adjustable leg openings with drawcord and CORDURA® reinforcement round off a trouser suited to tradespeople, mechanics, road and construction workers and concrete workers alike.
