The Blåkläder ToolRig™ craftsman work trousers are built for tradespeople who spend their day moving between bending, kneeling and handling tools. The regular fit with pre-shaped legs and stretch panels in the crotch and at the calves gives enough freedom of movement for awkward working positions without the fabric pulling or restricting.
The base material is a hard-wearing CORDURA® denim at 340 g/m², combined with CORDURA® stretch panels at the points that take the most strain. In practice that means trousers built to survive a demanding job site while still feeling comfortable to wear: reinforced seams at the crotch and a triple-stitched inseam handle the load, while the CORDURA® stretch knee pad pockets with a top opening make kneeling work far more comfortable. The pockets themselves are further reinforced with CORDURA®, standing up to constant contact with tools.
A particularly useful feature is the ToolRig™ system: a belt rail runs 360 degrees around the waist, letting tool pockets and accessories be repositioned and swapped freely – detachable ToolRig™ tool pockets and a hammer holder are already included. For heavier gear, loops allow a ToolRig™ harness or braces to be attached, spreading the load more evenly across the body. The trousers are further equipped with a reinforced ruler pocket with a knife holder, a zippered leg pocket, and a rear and leg pocket with hook-and-loop fastening and an internal mesh phone pocket. Reflective details at the calf add extra visibility.
The knee pad pockets are tested to EN 14404-3 in combination with the 4027, 4032, 4057 and 4058 knee pads, confirming a defined level of protection when working on the knees. That makes these trousers a strong fit for tradespeople who kneel regularly and need tools within easy reach, such as those working in drywall, electrical installation or flooring.
