The Blaklader ToolRig™ craftsman work trousers are built for anyone who moves a lot on the job and still needs rugged, reliable gear: tradespeople, electricians, sheet metal workers, groundskeepers and warehouse staff will find a trouser that keeps pace rather than getting in the way. The standout feature is the ToolRig™ belt, which runs a full 360 degrees around the waist so tool pouches and sliders can be positioned freely and added as needed – the trousers ship without pockets on the belt itself, letting you build your own system from scratch.
The fabric blends polyester, cotton and Elastofin in a twill weave, giving a durable yet flexible feel that holds up to daily wear. Panels of 4-way stretch are placed exactly where extra mobility matters most, while the rest of the trouser uses 2-way stretch for all-round comfort. Pre-shaped legs support natural movement, whether bending or kneeling, without the fabric pulling or restricting.
For floor-level work, the knee pad pockets are made from reinforced CORDURA® stretch fabric and, together with matching Blåkläder knee pads, are tested to EN 14404-3 – a standard that assesses knee protection during kneeling tasks. This keeps freedom of movement intact while adding real protection for jobs like tiling, flooring or ground-level assembly. Reflective details on the back of the legs also improve visibility in low light or dark conditions.
A range of practical details, including a leg pocket with a mesh phone compartment, a reinforced ruler pocket with knife holder, a D-ring on the waistband and loops for ToolRig™ braces, make these trousers a genuinely useful tool for everyday work on site, in the workshop or in the warehouse.
