The TYKO-RV lab coat from the Tyvek 500 range is a disposable coat designed for work where contact with biological hazards is possible. Its collar, zip fastening and elasticated cuffs keep it securely in place throughout the shift, preventing sleeves from riding up or leaving gaps exposed. There are no pockets, keeping the coat streamlined for tasks where nothing should snag or become contaminated.
The fabric is a polyethylene spunbond nonwoven, the material Tyvek is known for: lightweight and breathable, yet resistant to puncture and particle penetration. Seams are sewn on the inside, so there are no raised edges to cause friction or catch on equipment, and the antistatic treatment helps reduce static build-up during use, a real benefit wherever electrostatic discharge needs to be avoided.
The coat is certified to EN 14126, the standard for protective clothing against infectious agents, and classified as PPE Category III, Type PB 6B. In practice this means protection against limited splashes of biologically contaminated liquids, making it suitable for laboratory work, cleaning tasks, and other settings where contact with potentially infectious substances is a possibility.
