The RUNNEX® SportStar is an S1PS safety shoe with ESD capability that looks like a sneaker and wears like one too. It's built for anyone who spends long shifts on their feet and wants genuine comfort without giving up on the safety standards their job demands. The modern, sporty styling makes it a strong alternative for anyone who finds classic safety footwear too bulky.
The upper is made from a nearly seamless knitted polyester fabric using knit technology, reinforced with TPU protection at the toe and heel. In everyday wear this means a light, close-fitting feel with no pressure points, while the TPU sections shield the areas that take the most punishment. Inside, the RUNNEX® AIRSTREAM functional lining keeps the foot climate comfortable, and the SOFTtouch heel lining adds extra grip and cushioning around the heel. A PU outsole with a black PU midsole completes the lightweight overall build.
The shoe meets EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024 in class S1PS FO, which means a steel toe cap for protection against mechanical impact and a sole resistant to fuel oil. It's also ESD-capable according to EN 61340-4-3:2001, safely dissipating electrostatic charge to protect sensitive electronic components in the workplace. Its classification as PPE Category II and its listing under DGUV112-191 confirm its suitability as personal protective equipment for these hazard areas.
This makes the SportStar a strong fit for dry environments in industry, trades, warehousing and logistics, as well as for ESD workstations where electrostatic discharge poses a risk to people or equipment.
