The RUNNEX® SportStar is an S1PS safety shoe with ESD protection that looks and feels more like a casual sports shoe than traditional workwear. It suits anyone working in dry areas, industry, warehousing or trade who wants reliable safety features combined with a modern, low-key design. The activeBumper technology by Evonik in the heel area delivers noticeably soft cushioning that stays comfortable even during long shifts.
The microfibre upper with textile inserts and TPU trims is light and flexible without compromising on stability. The RUNNEX® SPORTY functional lining and the RUNNEX® SOFTtouch heel lining help keep the inside climate pleasant and reduce friction around the heel. A rubber outsole with a Phylon midsole adds extra spring to every step, giving the shoe the feel of a sports shoe rather than a conventional safety boot.
Certified to EN ISO 20345:2022 in class S1PS FO, the SportStar features a composite toe cap that protects against impact and compression, offers energy-absorbing properties in the heel area, and has a fuel-resistant, slip-resistant sole. The ESD protection to EN 61340-5-1:2016 safely discharges static electricity, protecting sensitive components and work environments. Classification under DGUV112-191 confirms its suitability as category II PPE for professional use.
This makes the SportStar a strong choice for ESD workplaces in electronics manufacturing, as well as for warehouse, logistics, trade and industrial settings where safety and all-day comfort both matter.
